As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all funds raised by our chapter directly benefit local programs in the fifteen counties we serve. We are committed to fostering connections within our military community and actively support ROTC programs at the University of South Florida, Florida Southern University, and the University of Tampa, along with JROTC programs throughout our region.
Founded in 1971, the Suncoast Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) proudly serves the active duty, National Guard, and Reserve service members of the U.S. Army and their families across the central west coast of Florida. Our dedicated volunteer leaders and staff work tirelessly to support communities from Fort Myers to Suwannee, including Tampa, Lakeland, Arcadia, Ocala, Gainesville, Sarasota, and the surrounding areas.
We partner with the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), Joint Communication Support Element (JCSE), Special Operation Command Central (SOCCENT), the Army Reserve Medical Command, the Florida National Guard 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, and the Tampa Recruiting Battalion to enhance our support efforts. We also collaborate with the Department of Defense and the Florida Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) to further our mission of service and advocacy.
